I want to know the stories in your hips, the ones you keep dropped down deep within, top secret, the ones you let no one see.
Yeah. Those ones.
I want to know the stories that choked you into silence, the ones you swallowed before anyone could hear them, before anyone could judge you for them, before anyone could burn you for them.
What are you holding in your jaw?
The words you held back, the anger you were taught was unbecoming, the no you never said, the truth you clenched your teeth around because telling it might have cost you your life.
What sound is still caught in your throat?
The confessions, the cries, the screams, the pleasure you learned to make smaller, the name you wanted to call out, the truth that wanted to become sound but somehow never made it past your lips.
What lives in your womb?
The fear, the longing, the intuition you overrode, the hunger you tried to discipline out of yourself, the grief you carried without language. The memories of opening and closing, receiving and creating, bleeding and birthing, ending and beginning again, and the knowing that arrived before your mind could make sense of it.
And what have your hips never forgotten?
The lovers, the losses, the openings, the contractions. The moments you were worshipped and the moments you were not held. The places you froze, received, enjoyed, loved, wanted, left, came back and opened again. The times someone touched you without knowing how to hold what they were touching, without understanding the value of the body that had opened before them.
The body doesn’t just keep the score. She tells the stories even when you have stopped telling them. And somewhere along the way, we were taught not to speak those stories, but to get down on our knees and confess them as sins.
To confess that you wanted. That you desired. That you fucked. That you loved. That you were hungry for more than the life you had been given. That your body knew things before your good-girl mind knew how to explain them.
That you wanted all of it.
Who is she?
The Whore. The Harlot.
And before we rush to sanitize her, cleanse her, redeem her, or make her respectable enough to bring back into the temple, back into society, respectable enough to have a life, to have children, to be loved, I want to know who the fuck she actually is, because even those words carry stories.
Whore comes through Old English and Germanic language, with one proposed older root carrying the sense of one who desires. One who desires. A woman desires, and desire becomes an accusation.
And harlot did not begin as a name for a sexual woman at all. It was used for vagabonds, rogues, wanderers and performers, historically applied to men before becoming feminized, sexualized and burdened with moral condemnation.
No, whore does not literally mean whole. But what interests me is what happens when a woman fragmented by the so-called Word of God becomes whole enough to hold every part of herself again.
The saint and the sinner. The mother and the whore. The mystic and the martyr. The lover and the virgin.
The woman who has known one man and the woman who has known many. The woman whose body has been worshipped and the woman whose body has been used. The woman who has been celibate for years and the woman whose appetite could swallow fucking galaxies whole.
Because this is not about becoming the Harlot, and it is not about reclaiming the Whore as another identity to perform. It is about bringing home the parts of ourselves we exiled when we were taught that desire made us dangerous, that being wanted diminished us, that wanting made us dirty, that pleasure cost us holiness, that touching too many bodies somehow moved us further away from God.
Coming home to ourselves means there is nowhere left inside us that has to remain outside the temple.
No part of the woman has to be abandoned in order for another part to be considered holy.
The body has to become part of that homecoming. Not something we manage, override or discipline into acceptability, but the place where we learn how to stay.
There is a way the breath changes when you are no longer trying to manage every fucking variable. There is a way the nervous system softens when it no longer has to anticipate everyone and everything. There is a way the body remembers itself when it is nourished by beauty, rest, touch, truth, creativity, devotion and pleasure.
This is where Eros becomes so important. Eros is life force. Here in Hawaiʻi, where I have lived for the last thirteen years, we call this mana, the living animating current moving through life itself. Eros is not simply sex. It is an ancient technology of remembrance.
Pleasure opens what the mind cannot.
And no, I do not mean have more orgasms and magically become a different woman. I mean meeting yourself through sensation, noticing what expands you and what contracts you, learning what nourishment actually feels like in your body and feeding yourself with beauty, rest, touch, truth, creativity, devotion and pleasure.
Feed the part of you that remembers.
This is why I say pleasure is a portal into gnosis. Gnosis comes from the Greek for knowing, but this is not informational knowing. It is the kind of knowing that travels beneath thought and lands in the body, the moment when I understand this becomes I know this because I have experienced it.
That is embodiment.
And then you remember that your body was always the doorway.
This is the work of the Keepers of the Solar Feminine Flame.
I am not interested in women collecting another spiritual language, becoming dependent upon another teacher to tell them what their bodies know, or learning how to perform another version of spirituality correctly. I am not here to spoon-feed you the Ways of the Rose or create another form of spiritual codependency.
I am here to give you the keys to your own queendom.
To support you in coming into deeper right relation with all parts of yourself. To become increasingly unavailable for abandoning yourself at the exact threshold where your becoming asks you to stay. To come into full residency inside your own body, your own Eros, your creativity, your devotion, your relationship with God and the life actually asking to move through you.
That is the lineage of the Rose.
The teachings should eventually become so alive inside you that they stop sounding like my language and begin speaking through your body in a language uniquely your own.
That is gnosis. That is embodiment. That is lineage.
And this is also why I care so deeply about the Venusian cycle. I do not look toward Venus as a way to leave the body for the stars. I look toward Venus because the planetary body and the feminine body are continuously mirroring one another. The heavens offer another language for something the body has already been speaking.
Hesperus Askara and the Closing of the Evening Star
Post-eclipse season, we are now standing in the aftermath of what has already been revealed, cleared, accelerated and unsettled. In many ways, the eclipses did what eclipses do: they exposed what could no longer remain hidden, loosened what had already become unstable and brought certain endings and truths into sharper view.
But beneath that clearing, a much larger Venusian cycle has also been unfolding.
We are approaching the completion of the Evening Star phase of Venus, nearing the close of the current Aries Star Point and preparing to move toward the fifth and final Star Point in Scorpio within this greater eight-year Rose of Venus.
Venus moves through a synodic rhythm of approximately nineteen months. These conjunction thresholds are known as Venus Star Points, a term coined by astrologer Arielle Guttman in Venus Star Rising. Five Venus Star Point cycles create the five-pointed Rose of Venus across approximately eight years.
We are now completing the fourth point of that greater Rose and preparing to move toward the fifth and final Star Point in Scorpio.
So we are standing inside a closure much larger than one eclipse cycle, one relationship, one decision, one business chapter or one personal initiation. There is a greater Venusian architecture moving underneath all of it.
And before that turning, we meet what I call Hesperus Askara.
Within the manuscript of teachings that I have been writing for years, soon to become a completed book, Hesperus Askara is one of the central mysteries of the Venusian Rose. It is the Evening Star mystery, the convergence point where Venus Astrology and Venus Temple Arts begin speaking to one another, where the movements of Venus through the heavens are given meaning, reverence and embodiment through the human body.
Within these teachings, the Venusian Rose Nodes are not merely symbolic points in the sky. They are living temples.
The planetary body of Venus is not something I understand as separate from the body of the Earth or from our own embodied feminine experience. The body mirrors the Earth, and the Earth mirrors our bodies. What is above speaks to what is below, and what is below carries its own correspondence to the heavens.
Within this cosmology, the womb is a stargate.
A living threshold through which creation, memory, death, rebirth, Eros, lineage and divine intelligence move. The womb is not simply an organ onto which we place astrological meaning. She is an embodied celestial gateway, a place where planetary and personal, terrestrial and cosmic, ancient and futuristic can meet.
This is why the Venusian Rose Nodes become more than places we locate astrologically. They are living Grails we learn to recognize through our bodies, our wombs, our sexuality, our throats, our hearts, our hips, our relationships, our creative lives, our grief, our births, our endings, our desires, our pleasure and our capacity to receive.
Within the manuscript, I write of each of these Rose Nodes as carrying its own flame, its own seed of remembrance, its own relationship to the body and to the Earth. There are seven primary Venusian Rose Nodes within these teachings, with an eighth hidden Oceanic Grail held within the Hawaiian waters, an oceanic womb surrounding and holding the others.
This is not about making astrology more complicated. It is about making it embodied.
Hesperus Askara is not simply about Venus shining brightly in the evening sky. It is the final Venus shimmer gateway of the Aries Star Point, a threshold of ripening through which the Evening Star mysteries move toward culmination before Venus begins turning toward retrograde and the next phase of the Rose.
The 13th and 14th of September hold the Gateway of Hesperus Askara, a place of integration and exaltation where what has been moving through this approximately nineteen-month Star Point becomes visible enough for us to recognize what it has actually changed within us.
This is where astrology begins moving out of information and into gnosis. It is not simply what we have learned about Venus, but what living this cycle has actually taught the body.
The Four Phases of Venus and the Feminine Cycle
Within the Venusian Rose teachings, I work with the four phases of Venus as a living mirror of the four phases of the feminine cycle. This is one of the central architectures of this body of work. This is not astrology sitting somewhere outside the body. It is astrology brought back into the womb.
The Morning Star phase is the descent, and I connect this to the late luteal, premenstrual phase of the feminine cycle. Energy begins withdrawing from external expression and moving back toward the deeper chambers of the self. This phase carries discernment, release, shedding, confrontation, shadow and descent beneath what is visible. The body becomes less available for performance. What has been tolerated becomes harder to tolerate. What has been hidden can become louder. The descent asks us to listen differently.
The Underworld phase mirrors the menstrual phase, the womb-dark. Venus disappears from visibility and the feminine body enters her own deepest interiority. This is not emptiness, and it is not failure. It is the fertile dark, the blood mysteries, death, composting, surrender, silence, renewal and regeneration. It is the place where the old form dissolves and the new form has not yet revealed itself. The body knows how to enter darkness without believing she has disappeared.
The Evening Star phase is the ascent, and I connect this to the follicular phase of the feminine cycle. Energy begins returning. Creativity begins returning. Curiosity, visibility, sensuality, expression and possibility begin moving outward again. What was learned in darkness begins to find form. What was once hidden becomes increasingly relational, embodied and visible. This is the phase we are completing now.
And Hesperus Askara belongs at the culmination of this ascent: the fullness of the Evening Star mystery, where what has been gestating, dying, reorganizing and returning through the earlier phases of the cycle begins arriving in fuller embodiment. This is not simply Venus becoming more visible. It is the body revealing what the darkness actually taught her.
Then, held within the greater rhythm, we meet the Union or Reset phase of Venus Retrograde, which I connect to the ovulatory mystery. This is the point of union, heightened fertility, magnetism, relational intelligence, choice and deep recalibration. And I do not mean fertility only in the biological sense. I am speaking of that moment in the cycle when creative force gathers around what is ready to be created, chosen, fertilized, renewed, redirected or brought into union.
The four phases of Venus therefore become more than astronomical phases to memorize. The feminine body already knows them. She knows descent and the underworld, ascent and union. She knows how to withdraw and return, how to bleed and begin again, how to move into invisibility without mistaking invisibility for annihilation, and how to come back into radiance without forcing the timing of her own becoming.
This is why I do not teach Venus Astrology as something abstract or external to us. The four phases of Venus are mirrored through the four phases of the feminine cycle because the body is already carrying the cosmology.
And Hesperus Askara belongs within that ascent. It is the culmination of the Evening Star mystery, the place where what has been gestating, dying, reorganizing and returning through the earlier phases of the cycle begins to arrive in fuller embodiment.
This is where descent becomes gnosis, where gnosis becomes embodiment and where embodiment begins becoming transmission.
We are completing the Evening Star ascent of the Aries Star Point, preparing for the retrograde turn and moving toward the fifth and final Star Point in Scorpio within this greater eight-year Rose. We are reaching the completion of one of the great petals of Venus before moving toward the final point of this larger cycle.
And I am not interested in collecting more information about Venus. I am interested in what we are willing to become intimate enough with that it finally becomes embodied knowledge, the movement from I know about this into this knowledge now lives in me.
That is gnosis.
This is where the beginning of this teaching and the Venusian cosmology are not two separate conversations at all. The stories living in the hips, the knowing living in the womb, the words held in the jaw, the truths caught in the throat, the Harlot we learned to condemn and the woman our bodies have been remembering all along are part of the same return.
The Venusian Rose offers another map for that remembrance. The body carries impressions and Venus moves through phases. The womb knows darkness and Venus disappears. The body knows how to return and Venus rises. Desire initiates us. Pleasure reveals. What has been lived deeply enough eventually becomes knowledge that no one can take away from you.
This is what I mean by the Keepers of the Solar Feminine Flame: women who are not simply learning the teachings, but becoming capable of carrying them; women who can meet themselves deeply enough that these teachings become living transmissions through their own bodies.
Not just followers of my work waiting for me to tell them what comes next, but women coming into right relation with their own knowing, taking up full residency within themselves and remembering the flame.
Moving Deeper Into the Rose
As we move through Hesperus Askara and into the next phase of Venus, I’m opening a very small number of spaces for women who desire closer support through this season of embodiment.
Private 1:1 Rose Womb Heart Mentorship
Opening in three-, six-, and nine-month containers, this is the closest proximity within my work: intimate, sustained mentorship for the woman standing at a meaningful threshold and ready to bring the deeper architecture of her life into greater congruence.
Relationship, body, business, Eros, motherhood, devotion, creativity, leadership, receiving, and the places where the life you say you desire is asking to become something your body can actually inhabit.
This is not simply about reaching another goal. It is about creating the conditions through which the woman you are becoming can actually live.
I’m opening a very small number of spaces, and one has already been claimed.
There is no public page yet. If you feel the resonance of the Rose, simply email mystery@theroselineage.com for more information.
Daughters of the Rose — November 2026
In November, we begin the sixth cohort of Daughters of the Rose, our signature nine-month online Mystery School, group mentorship and training.
This next journey begins at an extraordinary Venusian threshold, living through Venus in the Morning Star descent mysteries and preparing you to enter the deeper underworld architecture of the Rose.
It is a longer initiation into embodiment, devotion, reclamation and the parts of ourselves we learned to exile in order to remain lovable: the saint and the sinner, the mother and the whore, the mystic and the lover.
A journey of descent, remembrance and deeper right relationship with the woman beneath the identities.
Not so that you become more like me, but so that you become increasingly unavailable for abandoning yourself.
In May 2027, we return to Kauaʻi for our seventh Venusian Temple Arts Training, where these teachings move fully into the flesh through breath, sound, touch, ritual, movement, relationship, presence and embodied oracular artistry.
For the women called not simply to learn the teachings, but to embody them deeply enough that something uniquely their own begins to move through them.
Private mentorship, Daughters of the Rose, and Venusian Temple Arts are different thresholds of proximity within one lineage of the Rose.
A lineage where information becomes experience, experience becomes gnosis, gnosis becomes embodiment, and embodiment becomes transmission.
That is the devotion beneath all of it: that these teachings do not simply remain something you know.
They become something you live.
In devotion,
Shona
P.S. You do not need to purify yourself to enter the Lineage of the Rose. You do get to remember who the fuck you are in this timeline as part of this lineage.
